 The 46th Engineer Battalion (Construction) was capable of performing heavy construction projects, such as base camps and cantonment areas. The Battalion served with the 159th Engineer Group throughout its Vietnam Service. Located initially at Bien Hoa, it moved to Long Binh in january 1966 and remained at that location until it departed Vietnam.
